MILK CARTON HAUNTED HOUSES

Use any size of carton, from an individual sized lunch carton to a half gallon. Cut out a door and some windows and cover entirely with black construction paper. Add some cute halloween stickers and glitter, maybe some candy corn and pumpkins, and you have an adorale decoration that your kids can help create. For an extra spooky touch, add an LED tealight. Create one house, or an entire village!

FALL LEAF MOBILE
Create fall leaf cutouts from construction paper, fine cardboard or felt. Tape the leaves to thin ribbons, string or twine. Attach each string to a small branch and hang it where it can spin freely for all to enjoy!

YUMMY!!! Give these cookies a try - they will become one of your favorites.

Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups rolled oats
1 12oz pkg butterscotch chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In a large bowl beat the butter and sugars together. Add the eggs and vanilla, beating well.
Stir together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir until blended. Stir in the oats and the butterscotch chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges begin to brown.

Drive and Drop - Support a good cause

Giving back is a big part of our personal and business philosophy at Hymas Image. From the local level to a global stage, there are always plenty of ways to help make this world a better place. This week, we would like to highlight the work that is being done by local businesses: Harris Publishing's Community Team, Idaho Falls magazine and Falls Printing are sponsoring a community donation collection.

Drive and Drop

Just “drive” by to “drop” your donations and receive a certificate for one free yogurt from Orange Leaf. No need to park; their staff will collect the donations as you drive by.

Greatest needs are: canned food - diapers (size 4-5-6) and toilet paper.

This Thursday - September 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: 360 B St. (in front of Harris Publishing - Idaho Falls)

Donations collected will benefit:

Idaho Falls Rescue Missions, the Haven, Idaho Falls Food Bank and the Soup Kitchen.

It's School Picture Time

Quite a few children have been in already to get their school pictures taken before they get into their busy school routine. Good idea, but not always possible. Just a reminder that we will be doing school picture type images all through the month of September and even into October.

Garden sessions for children

While in Oregon, I also photograped my nieces little girl. She is so adorable and has the cutest personality. We had a great time.

Her tulle outfit is one of the new styles we have for girlie sessions. Perfect for images at the BYU gardens. Give us a call - sessions are only $39. Take advantage of our sunny weather, greenery and flowers - before you know it - it will be fall.

Maternity on Location

I had a great weekend. Traveled to Oregon to attend my nieces baby shower. Part of my gift to her was a location maternity session. The lighting was beautiful and we had a great time. Here's a couple of my favorites.

FREE Family or Children's Portrait Session

I really haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I know I haven't blogged, facebooked or even emailed much during the past three months. It's been a very challenging time for my husband and myself. The first week of April I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Yes, cancer. It was a very emotional, frightening time for us and the worse was waiting for test results. I was immediately scheduled for surgery and 4 days before I was to be admitted to the hospital, my husband, Clyde had a ladder slide out from underneath him when he was about 12 feet in the air. He ended up compressing a couple vertebraes, badly bruised his whole left side and was put in a back brace for 3 months. Needless to say, the following couple weeks were awful and comical at the same time. Having both Clyde and myself down was not what we had planned, but we made it through and are so thankful for all the many friends and family who were constantly there to help us.

I am one of the fortunale ones - the cancer had not spread to my lympth nodes so the surgeon was able to remove it. I know many prayers were answered and I am so very grateful that I can go on with my life and not spend the next 6 months taking chemo. I urgently plea for each of you and your loved ones to take the time out of your busy lives to have your yearly exams done . . . it just might save your life.

I am very excited about being back in the studio and doing what I love. Life is so precious and families are worth a million. Let's Celebrate!!!

People Loving Employee Needed

We have just learned that Caroline will be leaving us sometime within the next 3 or 4 weeks. Makes us sad. As you all know she is a very sweet, talented person whom we have all grown to love. We will miss her, but we do wish her well in her new adventures.

So that means we are searching for a passionate, people loving person to take care of our wonderful clients. If you are that person or know of someone that is - please give us a call. We will start accepting resumes on Tuesday.

Happy New Year to EVERYONE! I hope that you all had an amazing and blessed holiday season and are looking forward to the new year ahead. Our staff will be back in the studio full swing tomorrow morning.
